Airedale Terrier

The Airedale Terrier is a medium 45 to 65 pound dog that typically reaches between 22" and 24". Known as the King of the Terriers, they're biggest of the Terrier breeds accepted by the AKC. It's a compact little powerhouse that's all terrier regarding chasing little critters or soothing its curiosity.
Airedale Terriers are generally tan about the ears, head, chest, undersides, legs, and every now and then on the shoulders.  They are black or grizzle on the sides and upper areas of the body.  Sometimes they've a red mixture on the black or white markings on the chest.  Specific strains of the breed also have a small white patch on the chest.  Their wiry, dense outer coat needs frequent grooming.
Airedale Terriers Are Full Of Energy
If you are looking to buy dog with lots of strength and energy, look no further.   The Airedale Terrier is full of energy and needs daily exercise and amusement.  Generally speaking, they do best with older well behaved children and aren't ideal for houses with smaller pets as terriers have the drive to chase small animals and vermin.  They can do admirably with other dogs, particularly if they are socialized from puppyhood.  They are loyal and defensive of their family.  They love to learn which enable it to be trained without difficulty provided training is pleasurable and not dull.
The breed dates itself back to 18th century England. The breed is really a cross between an Otterhound and a Waterside Terrier.  They were bred for hunting lesser game and were later on utilised in big game hunting, police work and as a military dog in WWII.  The Airedale Terrier is currently thought more of a everyday pet than a working dog.  Nonetheless, they do love to work and have tasks to perform and yet make first-rate hunting and tracking dogs

For a family that enjoys outside and working out, the Airedale Terrier is an excellent option.  While they can work with other
pets and dogs, a one pet household appears more ideal for their desires unless they grow up with other family pets.  The Airedale Terrier is a great dog for the household on the go.

Best Dog Beds for Small Dogs

So you’re ready to buy a bed for your small dog, and you’ve read all about the types of dog beds available. Now you’re wondering which beds might work best for your small dog. So consider the following:
Cost
Lucky for you if you’re on a budget, beds for small dogs can be considerably less expensive than beds for large dogs. If you select a basic pillow bed, nest bed, or donut bed, you can easily find one for less than $40. But the sky’s the limit when it comes to beds for small dogs, and you could just as easily spend several hundreds of dollars on a top-of-the-line designer dog bed. Decide on your budget before you begin your search to make things easier.
Functionality
Do you have special requirements for a dog bed, like an orthopedic bed for an arthritic dog, a bed to fit a kennel or crate, a designer bed, an elevated bed, or a travel bed? Do you require a heated dog bed or a cooling dog bed? If your small dog is shy or suffers from anxiety, she might prefer a covered dog bed, like a wicker bed or a pup tent or a small cloth house-shaped dog bed. List your special requirements to narrow your search and use while researching. If you don’t have special bed requirements, a basic pillow bed, nest bed, or donut bed will probably meet your dog’s needs.
Another aspect of functionality is whether the dog bed cover is washable. Check your top choices to see if the cover can be removed and if you can throw it in the washing machine. Some beds, such as orthopedic beds, also feature removable interior liners to allow for easy cleaning.
Designer Dog Beds
OK, we all know how easy it is to spoil little dogs, and the cute little designer dog beds on the market can be irresistible. The sky’s the limit when it comes to choosing a designer bed: all colors, fabrics, and prices are available.

Your Dog’s Sleeping Habits
§  Does your dog curl up in a ball while sleeping? You might want a round or oval nest bed or donut bed or a bolster bed.
§  Does he sleep in a variety of different positions? Does he sleep in a ball during the winter when chilly and on his back with legs sticking up in the air in the summer? Again, look for a bed without sides, like a mat bed or a pillow bed, to accommodate the dog sleeping sprawled out.
Dog Bed Sizing Tips
If your dog sleeps curled up in a ball, measure her while sleeping in that position. Measure at the longest point, and then add 8 inches. Make sure that the dimensions of your new bed are close to this number.
If your dog sleeps stretched out, measure him in that position and add 12 inches to that measurement. That will give your sprawler enough room.
If your dog likes to sleep both ways, an oval or rectangular mat or pillow bed may be best.
If you find yourself in between sizes while bed shopping, always choose the larger option so that your dog will fit nicely on the bed with room to spare around the edges.
