Appearance

‘Border Terrier’ is a small & rough his breed of dog weighs 11.5 to 15.5 ponds. Its height varies from 10 to 16 inches. It has a wiry and coarse double coat.

Temperament

The Border terrier has mediocre learning ability. It has a strong will, and friendly temperament. Moreover this breed also needs great amount of stimulation. It can be eccentric, timid or eager at times. Its age for full development is 5 to 10 months. Border terrier is available in red grizzle, tan and blue and tan & grizzle colors. Only the chest of this dog is white. It has few & short whiskers. The tail is quite short and the base of the tail is thick & tapering. These dogs are intelligent, obedient, even-tempered and affectionate. They are quite friendly with other dogs. These borders can adapt the activity of their masters very fast. Though they do not want exercise but when they are provided with exercise they just love it. 

Health

It can survive till 15 years or little more than that. They can suffer from hip dysplasia, perthes disease, and juvenile cataracts.

History

This dog originated from England and Scotland.

From personal experience, the only other thing I would do is upgrade to the Secrets to Dog Training premium version because it has an online video series that is excellent as well as software which allows you to keep track of all the necessary and important details about your dog such as medical history, vaccinations, operations, appointments, obedience training, and much more.
