Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are also known as Cavalier and Cav. It belongs to the breeds called toy dog.

Appearance
This is the biggest one in the family of toy breed. The height of these breeds ranges between 12 to 13 inches. Its weight varies from 4.5 – 8.5 kg. Its tail is of full length and it is well feathered. It has an almost flat head between ears. This breed of dogs also has a nose that is well defined. It also has large eyes. It has little arched and strong neck. Cavalier’s body is well built. The movement of this breed is royal and elegant. It has a silky coat that has a moderate length. This dog can be available in various colors like Blenheim, Tricolor, Black & Tan and ruby.

Temperament
This dog is quite affectionate and friendly in nature. They are fun-loving and playful. These dogs are generally good with kids & other dogs. A cavalier that is trained well can easily get along with other dogs. They are considered to be a versatile breed of dogs as they mix well with all people of all age groups. They are intelligent and can be trained easily.

Health
Cavaliers may suffer from serious genetic defects. The other diseases that these breeds suffer are Mitral valve disease Keratoconjunctivitis sicca , Episodic Falling (EF), Syringomyelia, Hip dysplasia. As these dogs have large eyes and ears, you should see that they are not infected.

History
Cavaliers originated in England. They were very popular in UK.
